MMG's Century Operation, located in North-west Queensland, is Australia's largest open pit zinc mine. In production since 2000, Century comprises an open pit mine and concentrator at Lawn Hill, and a dewatering and shipping facility at the port of Karumba Port.
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Contract Implementation officer looking to join our professional and dynamic team at Century mine. Reporting to the Supply Superintendent, you will undertake a lead role in establishing, validating and aligning contractor management across the site. You will be maintaining contractor management processes to ensure it meets the requirements and challenges of the site. You will play a key role in hazard identification, risk management, procurement practices, and contractor management practices including performance management. You will also be involved in carrying out contract life cycle processes, related and activities and tasks.
As successful candidate, you will have effective negotiation skills, ability to read, comprehend and articulate contractual arrangements and conditions. Your strong customer focus, communication and influencing skills will see you further succeed in this role.
You will have a demonstrated knowledge of procurement and contracting methods and approaches, contract life cycle management, contractor management including performance management. Ideally, you will have around 5 to 10 years proven experience in contract pre and post award processes and activities and contract management. Desirable to the role will a degree or bachelor's degree preferably in a Business related discipline.
