MMG’s Dugald River Mine, is a world-class zinc-lead-silver deposit located in north-west Queensland. We currently have a fantastic career opportunity available for an experienced Project Metallurgist to join our team at Dugald River Mine.
Reporting to the Superintendent Metallurgy, you will be responsible for supporting the production and technical teams through process analysis and improvement initiatives for the concentrator to deliver on Safety, Volume and Cost targets. The roles key focus is to identify and hone in on systemic issues which are hindering optimal performance, and in doing so develop corrective strategies to improve value performance.
To be successful in this role, you will possess a sound knowledge of core processes within Pb/Zn concentrators including crushing, grinding, base metals flotation, thickening, dewatering and paste operation. You will also understand mineralogical analysis techniques, operating processing plant cost drivers, possess the ability to plan, lead/manage, track and report on projects and have good communication skills. Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering and a valid driver’s licence are essential.
This role will be based on an 8/6 roster from Townsville as your point of hire or DIDO from Cloncurry and Mt Isa districts.

Remuneration for the role includes a competitive base salary and annual bonus.
