Our Rosebery operation is an underground mine located on Tasmania’s North West Coast. The site has operated continuously since 1936 and comprises an underground base metal mine and surface processing operation with the capacity to process approximately 1,000,000 tonnes of ore a year. It is one of the largest employers in that region and over the years, it has attracted world class Engineers, Geologists, Metallurgists and Mine Managers.
Reporting to the Senior Plant Metallurgist, you will be responsible for supporting the production and technical teams through process analysis and improvement initiatives for the concentrator to deliver on Safety, Volume and Cost targets. The roles key focus is to identify and hone in on systemic issues which are hindering optimal performance, and in doing so develop corrective strategies to improve value production.
For this opportunity, MMG is offering an 8/6 roster on either a residential or commute (DIDO) basis.

To be considered, you’ll need to be degree qualified in Process / Chemical Engineering or associated fields and have experience in base metals flotation. Knowledge of Honeywell process control systems will be highly regarded, as well as skills in VBA programming (for reporting purposes).
