MMG's Kinsevere operation is a high-grade copper mine located in the Katanga Province of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), 26km NE of Lubumbashi, Africa. The mine commenced production in 2007, initially processing copper concentrates through a heavy media separation (HMS) plant. Kinsevere's process plant, commissioned in 2011 has been built to international standards, with a nameplate production capacity of 60,000 tonnes of copper cathode per annum.
We are now recruiting an experienced and dynamic Maintenance Reliability Superintendent to lead Kinsevere's Reliability and Engineering teams in providing cost effective maintenance solutions to Kinsevere Assets in a safe and efficient manner. This role is also responsible for maintenance strategy development and plant engineering roles to support the maintenance delivery teams.
Reporting to the Manager – Maintenance & Engineering and in conjunction with the Maintenance Execution sections, you will ensure the optimisation of asset utilisation and availability via effective work management process, reliability engineering, loss elimination, asset strategies, planned and preventative maintenance, people and parts demand planning, contingency planning, risk management and emergency preparedness planning and response. As the Maintenance Reliability Superintendent you will work closely with the Mechanical, EIC and Services Superintendents to ensure that these objectives are fulfilled and are in alignment with MMG business goals. Localisation of the workforce is also a key element of this role, so there is a strong requirement for you to share your knowledge and skills with your team to develop their capability.
To be considered, you'll be degree qualified in Engineering and bring a wealth of experience in the maintenance of fixed and mobile plant within a surface mining operation. You will have extensive experience in condition monitoring techniques and have ideally developed and implemented condition monitoring plans in a simular environment. You are collaborative by nature and can successfully engage and influence key stakeholders. Drawing on your work experience in developing countries, you'll be known for your ability coach and develop local/indigenous teams, and ensuring skills/knowledge transfer. Candidates who also hold French language skills will be highly regarded.
This is a two-year fixed term position, offering a competitive commute roster of 6 weeks on/3 weeks off with fully subsidised return flights to your permanent place of residence.
