The Rosebery Mine in Tasmania is a polymetallic underground mine, in operation since 1936, which has current potential to extend life beyond 2030.
Currently, our Metallurgy team is seeking an experienced Plant Metallurgist to join their team located in Rosebery Mine, Tasmania. Reporting to the Senior Plant Metallurgist, this role is responsible for working with the Operations Team to ensure production targets are met with respect to grade and throughput, whilst accounting for variances and losses. Key to this role will be your ability to identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives to the mill process along with day-to-day trouble shooting of operational issues.
To be considered, you’ll need to be degree qualified in Process / Chemical Engineering or associated fields and have experience in base metals flotation. Knowledge of Honeywell process control systems will be highly regarded, as well as skills in VBA programming (for reporting purposes).
This role represents a genuine career opportunity for a motivated professional. This is a permanent residential position on 8/6 rosters. Naturally, MMG will support you with relocation to the area and provide generous housing assistance if residential role is agreed.
Rosebery is located on Tasmania's west coast in close proximity to Strahan and a couple of hours drive from Burnie and Devonport. Rosebery offers exceptional outdoor experiences with fishing, canoeing, white water rafting, rock climbing and walking at your doorstep.
