Dugald River is a world-class zinc-lead-silver deposit located in north-west Queensland. We currently now have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Environmental Advisor to join our SHEC team at our Dugald River operations. Reporting to the SHEC Superintendent, you will be responsible for the delivery of Safety, Health, with a strong emphasis on environmental compliance and management.
Your key responsibilities within the role will be to:
Positively influence and provide subject matter expertise to support the onsite culture around environment, safety, health, hygiene, and community
Monitor and report on SHEC-related licences, regulations and MMG Standards
Conduct and coordinate environmental monitoring according to site procedures and work instructions
Implement environment management plans, community management plans and health exposure management plans
Support the delivery of the MMG approach to delivering work safely, including work team member and supervisor accountabilities in safety
Drive and support environment and other SHEC related improvement projects
Maintain SHEC data according to site SHEC Recording and Reporting Work Quality Requirement including entry into data management systems (ESDAT, IEM, ERIK, GIS, Borealis, SAP), verification and reporting
Day-to-day supervisory support including professional development, task management and mentoring to site based SHEC Advisors
As a successful candidate, you will have similar demonstrated experience in the role with strong stakeholder relationship skills and delivery focus. You will be tertiary qualified in a environmental science, engineering or other relevant SHEC discipline; with an understanding of the dealings with government organisations.

The role is available on operate on a 9/6, 4/3, 4/2 roster on a drive-in drive out basis (DIDO) from the Cloncurry or Mount Isa Districts or a fly in fly out basis (FIFO) from Townsville (Brisbane may be considered as a commute base to site). Relocation support will be available for successful candidates who reside outside of the local region and who wish to relocate to the Cloncurry or Mount Isa districts.
