In this role you will be part of our Training Team which is located onsite at Dugald River Mine reporting to the Training Coordinator. A key focus of the role will support and mentor Trainees and Line Managers through planned and purposeful work whilst the Trainees achieve their qualifications. You will also play an integral role in the development, implementation and monitoring of plans and strategies for the successful completion of the Trainee Program.
Are you experienced in teaching, training or Mentoring? This role is responsible for the below,
Provide assistance in the planning, development, implementation and facilitation of each iteration of the apprentice/trainee intake program, a program designed to provide work readiness/preparation information and skills for prospective trainees
Coordinate the processes associated with the traineeship cycle, including but not limited to: enrolment and sign-up, training contracts, ERA’s, development of training plans and issuance of training record books, incentives and other claims, compliance reporting to organisations such as DESBT etc, other logistical arrangements
Provide assistance and coordination in the development and implementation of an onboarding checklist/process to assist Line Managers/Supervisors and new trainees achieve successful workforce integration
Monitor the progression of individual trainees during their traineeships to ensure that they comply with their RTO-approved training plan requirements and milestones within planned timeframes, and provide timely communication to relevant stakeholders when non-compliances are observed.
Coordinate and communicate site visits of RTO representatives and other external support personnel as and when required with trainees and their Line Managers/Supervisors
Source and liaise with community support groups to provide appropriate and timely support to trainees
Record and report on matters within the scope of the role in appropriate forums on a regular basis
Provide general site training support when required
As a successful
Traineeship Coordinator, you will bring your passion and commitment combined with similar experience within the mining industry and have the following:
An understanding of the local regional area or the willingness to learn and embrace this as a mentor.
Exposure and experience in the mining industry
Previous experience in applying administrative processes associated with apprenticeships/traineeships
Solid understanding of the VET sector, AQTF, national training standards and processes
C class drivers licence
Remuneration for this role includes a competitive salary package, with roster arrangements applicable to the point of hire.
