Superintendent - Mine Technical Services – Rosebery

The Rosebery Mine in Tasmania, is a polymetallic underground mine, in operation since 1936, which has current potential to extend life beyond 2030.

We are seeking an experienced ‘People Leader‘ to be our Superintendent in Mine Technical Services. In this role you will join our Technical Services team at Rosebery reporting to the Operations Support Manager. As an experienced People Leader, you will play a key role in identifying and implementing best practices in mine engineering, design and scheduling for our Rosebery operations.

This role directly leads and manages technical staff and all short term mine planning, drill and blast, production, survey, geology, geotechnical and ventilation technical support to the operations and future long term mine planning. You will ensure that our mine engineering and technical services deliver quality services to the onsite teams for implementation. As a successful Mining Leader, you will bring strong experience within mining; with demonstrated experience in achieving high levels of proficiency in mine design And supporting functions for both long and short term mine planning.

Your sound experience working across multiple site operations and proven effectiveness as a people manager will be essential to further succeed to the role. You are expected to have a pro-active approach to driving improvement opportunities, with excellent people engagement skills and proven capability to deliver successful mine planning, engineering and production improvement outcomes.

Important to the role will be your excellent written and verbal communication, organisational, and presentation skills, including people leadership and management. Previous experience as a mining leader within Technical Services or similar role will be essential. A tertiary qualification in Bachelor of Mine Engineering with First Class Mine manager’s ticket will be well regarded.
