Geology Superintendent - Rosebery Mine

We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Geology Superintendent for our Rosebery Mine in Tasmania.  This role reports to the operations support manager.  The purpose of this position is to manage and lead all aspects of geology at the Rosebery mine to ensure the short-term goals are achieved and maintain the longer-term future of the mine by resource extension. Candidates with past achievements in complex dynamic underground mining are urged to apply, exploration experience would also be an advantage. To be successful you must have a high level of interpersonal and reporting skills, with a strong ability to clearly articulate the salient message both to the geology team and the Rosebery management team.

MMG will also support successful candidates to relocate to the region and provide a generous relocation package. This role represents a genuine career opportunity for a motivated professional.  This role will be based on a 9-day fortnight (4:3,5:2) residential roster.

The responsibilities of this role will include, but not be limited to;

Safety, Health, Environment and Community (SHEC)

  • Always demonstrate safe behaviour and comply with the site’s standards and procedures in SHEC.
  • Promote awareness of SHEC practices and imbed a safety culture.

Bring with you your skills, experience and qualifications;

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in mine (and exploration) geology with some exposure to base metals,
  • Bachelor of Science degree – geology major
  • Australian drivers license.
