Superintendent – Processing

Rosebery is approximately 300 kilometres north-west of Hobart and 125 kilometres south of Burnie. Rosebery is 100% owned by MMG Limited and has been operating continually for over 80 years, with operations starting in 1936. The operation employs around 430 employees and contractors on a local residential basis.

The role:

Superintendent Processing- Rosebery Mines, Tasmania

Reporting to the Processing Manager, this role will provide leadership and direction to the process operations group, instilling accountabilities under MMG Creating Safe Work framework and subsequent fatal risk standards.

Manage the operation of the Rosebery processing plant safely and efficiently to deliver on all financial and operational business plans.

Create and maintain an energetic Processing Operations team that focuses on the deliverables of Safety, volume and Cost within the processing area in line with yearly budgets and life of asset plans.

This is a permanent position and will operate on a 5/2 - 4/3 roster.

Qualifications

  • Suitable degree qualification and complimentary certificates

Competencies

To be successful in the position we ideally require;

Demonstrable experience within processing operational-based roles with sound experience within base metals crushing, flotation and filtering processes as well as a strong grasp on plant engineering and maintenance operations.

Strong people leadership and management capabilities and a natural ability to coach and build teams.

A pro-active approach to driving process improvements, sound commercial awareness, excellent relationship skills and proven capability to deliver successful processing production improvement outcomes.

Excellent written and verbal communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
