Rosebery is an underground polymetallic base metal mine located in the township of Rosebery in Tasmania, Australia and is 100% owned by MMG Limited.
With continuous production since 1936 Rosebery mine has current potential to extend life beyond 2028. This underground mine has continually attracted and produced world class professionals. The operation continues to deliver excellent operational performance and employs over 500 employees and contractors who reside in the local region.
Senior Analyst-Business Improvement
We have an exciting opportunity within the Business Improvement department for an enthusiastic and driven person who is looking to take the next step in their career at Rosebery Mine in the role as Senior Analyst – Business Improvement.
Reporting to the Superintendent Business Planning, as the Senior Analyst – Business Improvement you will be involved with the site operations improvement projects across all departments.
This role is based on an 5/2, 4/3 residential roster based in Rosebery
Competencies, qualifications and skills:
An unwavering commitment to workplace safety and a demonstrated expertise in establishing cultures and systems that embed safety awareness.
Well developed knowledge of production process engineering and optimisation
Extensive knowledge of the mining and processing processes and control systems.
Tertiary qualification in a relevant technical discipline
A valid driver’s license will be essential
Proven ability in reporting and data display using PowerBI, Excel, SQL databases or other similar tools.
Key responsibilities will include:
Identification of significant gaps to budget/forecast in Operations performance results and determination of need for improvement project
Preparation and management of plans for site Operations improvement projects
Preparation and delivery of regular progress reports for improvement projects
Delivery of projected improvement outcomes into planning activities in MMG-wide short and long term planning functions
Lead, facilitate and support improvement projects in collaboration with the relevant area owners
Develop and maintain various site data reporting and display requirements mainly through Power BI and other reporting tools (ie Wave, Site display system)
