MMG Dugald River:
The mine; Dugald River is fully owned by MMG Limited and is one of the world’s top 10 Zinc operation and is mined underground. Dugald River is expected to produce around 180,000 – 190,000 tonnes of zinc in zinc concentrate annually. The operation employs around 500 employees and contractors on a mix of fly-in, fly-out and local residential basis.
Coordinator – Mobile Equipment Maintenance
Reporting to The Superintendent-Mobile Maintenance, this role will ensure planning, reliability, HSEC requirements & relevant statutory requirements are met and all maintenance task works performed supports the site deliverable targets and is planned and executed in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
This role will be based on an 8/6, 4/3, drive in drive out (DIDO) from Cloncurry or Mt Isa or fly in fly out (FIFO) from Townsville. Relocation support will be available for successful candidates who reside outside of these locations.
Qualifications, skills & competencies
Mechanical or Electrical Trade qualified or tertiary Mechanical / Electrical engineering qualifications
Proven leadership experience in Underground Mobile Equipment Maintenance
Understanding of budgetary and finance systems in relation to mobile maintenance
Sound understanding of Planning, Scheduling & Work Management requirements for mobile fleet
Sound understanding of reliability processes & requirements for mobile fleet
Awareness of Australian Standards & Statutory requirements
Mechanical & electrical knowledge of underground mobile fleets & maintenance requirements
Queensland Mining and Quarrying Acts and Regulations
Experience in leading teams of trades (mechanical, electrical & fabrication), trade assistance & support staff in workshop & field environments
Experience using SAP, preferably for Mobile Maintenance Management
Assisting in developing, implementing, and adhering to a Mobile Maintenance Management Framework in delivery of maintenance activities. The framework shall align to the MMG Standards.
Understanding of Capital machine purchases project across all project stages including build specification, budgeting, approval, design, installation, commissioning and handover.
Ensure the work teams are adhering to a Mobile Maintenance Planning & Scheduling Framework for delivery of maintenance activities.
Ensure the work teams are adhering to a Mobile Maintenance Reliability Framework for delivery of reliability maintenance activities.
Oversee the selection and engagement of required resources for delivery of mobile maintenance activities.
Assist in monitoring and reporting on KPI’s, SHEC, cost, schedule and quality of mobile maintenance portfolio including escalating any potential threats to the Superintendent Mobile Equipment Maintenance.
Championing the use onboard Equipment Monitoring systems and Interfaces and provide training of personnel in the use of these systems.
Assist with developing and implementing systems and processes that ensure electrical, mechanical, lifting, structural and civil engineering Statutory and engineering compliance is followed in the mobile maintenance team.
Monitor the Management of Change process required in mobile maintenance to ensure overall site compliance with the MoC Procedure.
Developing, maintaining and enforcing company standards, procedures and policies.
