We operate and develop copper, zinc and other base metal projects across Australia, the DRC and Peru.

Rosebery Mine is one Tasmania’s largest mines and has been the beating heart of the town for more than 86 years mining zinc, copper and lead concentrates, and gold doré. Rosebery is located on Tasmania's west coast near Strahan and a couple of hours drive from Burnie and Devonport. Rosebery offers exceptional outdoor experiences with fishing, canoeing, white water rafting, rock climbing and walking at your doorstep.

Come join our friendly Mine Technical Services team as a Mine & Ventilation Technician

Reporting to the Senior Mine Production Engineer, the key responsibility of this role is to assist the Mine Technical Services Team with underground projects as well as provide office-based support to the engineering team. 

Your primary tasks will include conducting bore tracking of production drill holes and delivering data to technical teams as well as identifying improvements to the bore tracking process.  You will also assist the Senior Ventilation Engineer with underground ventilations tasks and surveys as well as maintenance of emergency plans.

Offered on a residential basis on a 5/2:4/3 roster this role enables you to discover the pristine west coast and spend every evening with your friends and family in a supportive, inclusive community.  For those of you wanting to DIDO there is an option to do so from within Tasmania.

To be successful in this role you will have practical experience with underground mining methods, a good all-round experience of survey methods, underground mine ventilation and mine geology will be very handy.

Excellent communication and influencing skills with a demonstrated ability to contribute and work effectively in a team.
