Dugald River is one of the world’s top 10 zinc operations, located near Cloncurry in Queensland. Dugald River was successfully commissioned ahead of schedule and under budget, with first production of zinc concentrate in October 2017.Dugald River is estimated to have a mine life of 20+ years processing an average of 1.7 million tonnes of ore per annum. The operation predominantly produces zinc concentrate, with by-products including lead and silver.

Supervisor Processing

Reporting to the production Coordinator, you will be responsible for meeting the production plan, monitoring the plan and ensuring it is on target and continually develop the team’s skills and autonomy whilst delivering safe production.

You will contribute to the development of a culture of self- managed team work that achieves consistent high level of performance and continuous improvement.

This role will be based on an 8/6, 7/7 (days and nights) roster, drive in drive out (DIDO) from Cloncurry or Mount Isa or FIFO from Townsville. Relocation support will be available for successful candidates who reside outside of the local region who wish to relocate to the Cloncurry or Mount Isa districts.

Qualifications, Competencies & knowledge highly desired;

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a safety focus, be a strong problem solver and have extensive processing experience.

• Current QLD C class driver’s License
• S1,2 and 3
• Good computer knowledge, specifically MS Excel & MS Projects
• Working in heights and confined spaces tickets
• Sound knowledge of grinding and base metals floatation processes
• Good knowledge of Mine and Occupational Health & Safety and Environment requirements
• Demonstrable experience in a similar mining environment

• Fostering a culture of safe work practices and good housekeeping
• Developing an environment where safe work practices take priority and supporting site safety initiatives
• Ensuring compliance with strategy, targets and reporting
• Demonstrating leadership and develop a culture of self-managed team work.
• Mentor and manage the team and provide transparent feedback and encourage team work
• Ensuring hazards and sources of loss associated with the process are identified, evaluated and controlled.
