We are pleased to announce that we seek applications for the newly created position of Vice President, Canada. The primary purpose of this role is to lead our Izok Corridor Project (Izok and High Lake) and associated tenements in Nunavut. With a remit that includes stakeholder engagement, tenement management, exploration management and pre-feasibility studies, this position expertly manages a diverse portfolio of engineering concepts, exploration activities and community interests. With a focus on creating sustainable value, the role balances long-term project development with the near-term requirements of exploration and tenement management. Key to success is the engagement of community, government and business stakeholders through the project’s iterations, continually framing the development of the project, infrastructure requirements, environmental considerations, and the pathway to commissioning.
This is a rare and unique opportunity for an experienced projects professional from within the mining & resources sector to create sustainable social and economic value for Nunavut and the broader economy. To be considered, applicants must have extensive project management experience in the resources sector, working across various technical functions, including geology, mining, processing, closure, community, environmental, permitting, marketing, and economic evaluation. A deep understanding of pre-feasibility studies, risk management, and value driver analysis is essential, together with expert relationship management skills. Candidates with previous experience successfully managing pre-feasibility studies or exploration activities for technically and logistically complex mining projects in the Canadian Territories will be viewed favourably.
