Rosebery is an underground polymetallic base metal mine located in the township of Rosebery in Tasmania, Australia and is 100% owned by MMG Limited.
With continuous production since 1936 Rosebery mine has current potential to extend life beyond 2028. This underground mine has continually attracted and produced world class professionals. The operation continues to deliver excellent operational performance and employs over 500 employees and contractors who reside in the local region.
Reporting to the Engineering/Reliability and planning Superintendent, in this role you will be responsible for the identification and management of asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations including underground fixed assets. In addition, the role is to develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures as part as continuous improvement programs.
In this role, you will work towards achieving operational consistency on all our fixed infrastructure and underground operations assets covering the three main areas loss elimination, risk management and life cycle asset management.
This role will include general analysis of equipment reliability, investigation of events and variances and project work with a strong emphasis on safety, equipment reliability and maintenance quality. Focus will also be given to developing our Reliability Engineering systems and building capacity at MMG’s Rosebery Mine.
The role is offered on a residential 5:2/4:3 roster from Rosebery or DIDO from within Tasmania
Competencies, qualifications and skills:
Accountable for administration of and use of site standards, site specifications, and relevant Australia and international standards across site (both electrical and mech)
Accountable for administration and use of site electrical safety systems; Electrical Safety management plan, Hazardous area, Overhead lines and the sub systems referenced in these
Accountable for maintaining statutory compliance High Voltage equipment maintenance, Earth Leakage, electrical documentation etc
Accountable for maintaining a system to ensure electrical settings are documented and maintained.
Identify and determine Capital requirements for reliability/improvement projects (EOL replacements, upgrades, improvements).
Identify, assign, track and execute multidisciplinary safety, production, cost saving, man hour reduction improvements for self and remainder of R&I Team
Overall ownership of maintenance strategies ,Identification and implementation of improvements
