BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:
The Digital & Social Media Officer will be responsible for MMG Khoemacau’s digital presence and will build strong relationships with key stakeholders. This role is accountable for developing and delivering high-impact digital content, executing communication strategies, and engaging with stakeholders to enhance the company’s brand reputation, ensure transparency, and drive meaningful interaction across digital platforms.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your key accountabilities include:
- Aligning digital and stakeholder engagement strategies with MMG Khoemacau’s organizational goals, brand identity, and corporate responsibility priorities.
- Creating, curating and scheduling engaging content (videos, graphics, posts) for all digital platforms (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, and the website).
- Utilizing available tools or software and Content Management Systems (CMS) to produce and manage high-quality content.
- Implementing communication strategies to engage partners, investors, communities, and other stakeholders, while gathering and organizing content for digital platforms.
- Planning, executing and monitoring digital campaigns aligned with business objectives.
- Utilizing data-driven insights to optimize communication strategies and improve return on investment (ROI).
- Establishing a public opinion early warning mechanism for digital platforms, classifying and grading local negative information for handling, and collaborating with the team to formulate digital response solutions.
- Allocating digital marketing budgets by platform and content type, tracking ROI, and conducting effective budget management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in digital media/social media operation; experience in digital communication for mining/resource enterprises or the regional/ international market is an added advantage.
- Proficient in multilingual content creation/editing (English is a must; proficiency in local languages is a plus).
- Master the localized application of mainstream digital tools: social media management tools design, and data analysis tools (e.g., Facebook Insights/LinkedIn Analytics).
