MMG Dugald River:

The mine; Dugald River is fully owned by MMG Limited and is one of the world’s top 10 Zinc operation and is mined underground. Dugald River is expected to produce around 180,000 – 190,000 tonnes of zinc in zinc concentrate annually. The operation employs around 500 employees and contractors on a mix of fly-in, fly-out and local residential basis. 

The deposit; Dugald River is a unique Zinc deposit being 70Mt in resource which has the potential to extend beyond a 20-year mine life. Orebody Knowledge completed since 2017 has substantially increased the geological understanding that has contributed to grade control, reconciliation and growth at Dugald River. This is your opportunity to be part of a new underground Mobile Maintenance team, working on a new HME fleet and help deliver the potential of this incredible world class Zinc deposit.

Auto Electrician

This role will be based on an 8/7/7/6 roster, drive in drive out (DIDO) from Cloncurry or Mt Isa or fly in fly out (FIFO) from Townsville or Brisbane.

Qualifications, skills & Experience

• Relevant Auto Electrician Trade qualification
• A/C licence
• Underground mining equipment maintenance experience is preferred
• A current C Class Licence

It would also be beneficial if you have:

• Forklift / EWP licences
• Automine experience

Responsibilities include

• To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong work ethic and good safety leadership.
• Experience in Planned and breakdown maintenance on HME operating in and underground mining environment.
• Ability to be flexible within the role and adapt to a changing environment
• Sound knowledge of SAP
