Supply Supervisor

This role oversees the procurement and management of bulk commodities, goods and services ensuring that they are supplied in a cost effective and timely manner to support operational requirements. Success in this role is demonstrated by seamless processes for procurement, warehousing, consumption and replenishment of goods through application of industry best practice while ensuring delivery to MMG standards.

The standard roster for this role is 8/6 and 4/3 on site, with flexibility available for the right candidate. This is available on a drive-in drive out (DIDO) from Cloncurry or Mt Isa or fly in fly out (FIFO) from Townsville or Brisbane.

Qualifications Skills and Competencies:

• 3+ years’ experience in inventory management skills.
• 5+ years’ experience in managing warehouse operations.
• Strong inventory management system knowledge (e.g. SAP).
• Able to reconcile inventory, investigate issues and identify possible solutions.
• Able to reconcile supplier’s tax invoices and statements for payment.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Conduct physical examination and counts of bulk and critical commodities ensuring integrity of product.
• Tracking of all overseas deliveries and escalation of any delays to management when required.
• Participate in internal and external audits.
• Conduct inspections of warehouse areas to ensure safe work practices are exhibited and maintained.
• Act as the MMG Representative to manage contracts for services related to supply logistics and warehousing related to bulk commodities.
• Work with Customs Clearance providers for all overseas products.
• Demonstrate product stewardship including ensuring currency of statutory licences for bulks and critical commodities including compliant storage of materials.
• Ensure materials are fit for purpose and stored correctly including periodic maintenance of critical and insurance spares.
• Assist in identification and cataloguing of stocked and order-on-demand materials required in operation of the site.
