MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your key accountabilities include:
- Maintaining employee records, processing paperwork related to hiring, terminations, and employee benefits, and ensuring all HR-related documents are properly filed and organised.
- Assisting with the recruitment process by scheduling interviews, coordinating communication with candidates, and maintaining applicant tracking systems.
- Supporting the onboarding and offboarding process for new and departing employees by preparing new hire paperwork, coordinating orientation sessions, and facilitating smooth transitions.
- Providing support for employee relations activities by preparing employee communications, assisting with employee events, and maintaining recognition programs.
- Entering and maintaining employee data in HR information systems and generating reports on employee information such as attendance, leave balances, and other HR metrics.
- Maintaining and distributing employee handbooks to ensure staff have access to current policies and procedures.
- Supporting the administration of employee benefits programs by assisting with benefit enrolment, responding to benefits-related queries, and processing related documentation.
- Engaging in regular communication with employees to provide information and support on HR matters and serving as a point of contact for general HR enquiries.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:
- Diploma in Human Resources Management or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years post-qualification working experience.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- Experience with data entry, filing and maintaining records.
- Familiarity with basic HR processes such as recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration and employee relations.
