Dugald River is one of the world’s top 10 zinc operations and has been producing zinc concentrate for global customers since 2017.
Our commitment to a low-carbon future is clear. In April 2023, the Dugald River Solar Farm began operations, supplying one-third of the mine’s power and reducing emissions by 33%—a major step forward in our renewable energy transition.
The Dugald River operation employs approximately 750 people, including employees and contractors, with a mix of fly-in, fly-out and local residential roles.
Water Cart Operator – Mining Operations
We currently have an opportunity for a Water Cart Operator to join the Mining team at Dugald River.
Reporting to the Supervisor – Mining, you will be responsible for carrying out safe and efficient dust suppression activities by operating a water cart in an underground mining environment.
Roster:
This role operates on an 8/6, 7/7 (Days & Nights) drive-in, drive-out (DIDO) roster from Cloncurry or Mount Isa, Queensland.
About You – Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance and pass a Pre-Employment Medical
- Proven experience operating water trucks in an underground hard rock mining environment
- A strong commitment to safety and a positive, team-oriented attitude
