Accountabilities / Responsibilities
• Provide technical consulting services for the operation.
• Implement planned maintenance (PM) systems to comply with business requirements and best practices.
• Ensure compliance to engineering standards, procedures, and specifications.
• Perform Reviews and Audits to ensure adherence to organisational design specifications and sound engineering practice.
• Execution of discipline design (systems, equipment and products) through to documentation and data pack management.
• Continuous improvement by evaluation and implementation of new technology.
• Direct coordinate and integrate all technical aspects of the project in accordance with the project requirements.
• Lead the continuous improvement function for Processing including ICAM, Root Cause analysis and other relevant methods.
• Accountable for identifying and delivering on time completion of technical projects in line with Business Plan and/or continuous
improvement objectives.
• Accountable for site operation and site maintenance of technical systems on site including: Asset Utilisation, R2M and Metallurgical
Accounting
• Drive a culture of operational discipline within metallurgy and operations teams.
• Liaise with Process Manager and Production superintendent where necessary to optimize plant performance
• Coordinate the preparation of all projects technical documents to ensure that the technical content and cost are within the scope of
work.
• Direct or prepare and evaluate the technical aspects of procurement.
• Collaborate with the relevant stakeholders regarding technical issues.
• Develop and manage the implementation of the quality plan.
• Review and advice on engineering design progress and status in line with the project plan.
• Actively pursue the exchange and protection of information between operations and individuals to ensure effective knowledge
management according to organizational objectives.
Skills
• Strong Software: JK sim, Metsim, Syscad, or similar
• Computer skills (Power Point, Word, excel, AutoCAD)
• Navisworks Review (3D)
• Good communication skills
• Proficient in English
• Ability to work with extremely confidential data
• Strong analytical skills
• Process simulation
Knowledge
• Knowledge of minerals processing, metallurgy (hydrometallurgy in Cu&Co)
• Knowledge of international Process Plant Projects
• Knowledge of international Study & Reports (AACE, AUSIMM)
• Knowledge of techno-economic
• Knowledge of related industry standards
• Knowledge of safety design (Hazid, Hazop,SIL)
• Knowledge of engineering design projects
• Knowledge of chemistry
• Knowledge of control system
• Knowledge of equipment sizing
Experience
• 15+ years' experience in Copper & Cobalt industry as a technical role or above
Education, Qualifications, Tickets, Licences
• Master’s degree in metallurgy (non-ferrous), Chemistry or equivalent
• Principal engineer qualification or equivalent
• High standard of English language skills, particularly reading and writing skills.
