As a result of a recent internal promotion, our group office has a vacancy for Head of Project Services. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Projects, this is a key and influential leadership position in our Strategy, Development and Projects Team. The primary role is to support projects and operations within our existing and new assets by continually developing project controls, estimating, scheduling, reporting, execution planning, work processes and company standards, across all phases of work from conceptual to execution. As the principal specialist in the MMG group, the role expertly advises and supports our project teams in the application of these tools, processes, and methods. Working across a diverse set of regions, operating assets and projects, this is a unique opportunity for a world class expert in the design and delivery of optimal project services. Key to success is the mitigation of risk and the enablement of project delivery through effective approaches, a service focus and superb relationship management.
To be considered, applicants must have extensive experiences designing, implementing and monitoring the tools, processes, and methods that control and guide major projects. Key skills include Project Management, Estimating and Cost Control, Planning and Scheduling Control, Risk Management, Change Management, and Document Management. In addition to this, achievements that demonstrate the ability to support project outcomes and establish rapport and trust with operational teams is essential. Finally, candidates with relevant project experiences in large scale and capital-intensive industries such as mining, oil & gas, or infrastructure development, will be viewed favourably.
This position is located in Melbourne and will involve regular domestic and international travel to our operations and support offices.
