MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your key accountabilities include:
- Collaborating with teams to develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and work breakdown structures aligned with mining deliverables.
- Tracking construction, procurement, and engineering milestones to ensure projects remain on schedule and identify variances early.
- Monitoring actual costs versus budgets, preparing cost trend analyses, and providing accurate financial forecasts to management.
- Supporting evaluation and integration of change requests; assessing schedule and cost impacts and maintaining change logs.
- Assisting in identifying project risks; updating risk registers and helping define mitigation strategies with project stakeholders.
- Preparing and delivering project dashboards, earned value metrics, and executive summaries to support decision-making.
- Maintaining project controls systems, e.g. Primavera, MS Project and SAP, ensuring data integrity and alignment across disciplines.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or finance is preferred.
- Alternatively, degrees in project management, construction management, or business administration with relevant mining industry experience will be considered
- 5 years’ experience in cost and schedule control
