MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your key accountabilities include:
- Identifying, assessing, and developing high-potential talent.
- Implementing structured career development pathways, including Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
- Ensuring compliance with localisation requirements and nurturing local talent.
- Overseeing graduate and secondment programmes to build a sustainable leadership pipeline.
- Conducting talent mapping using performance reviews and MCPA results.
- Facilitating talent management workshops and maintain accurate talent matrices.
- Overseeing the development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of IDPs.
- Ensuring enhanced Workforce Capability by focused IDP management and development initiatives to upskill employees and development plans.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:
- Diploma or Degree in Mining
- HR qualifications such as Certification in talent management or psychometric assessments, Learning & Development, or Organisational Development is an added advantage
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in talent management,in the Mining industry
- Exposure to working in a mining or heavy industry environment is anadvantage
- Familiarity with psychometric assessments and their applications
- In-depth knowledge of Botswana’s localisation regulations and labour laws
