ARTISAN ASSITANT - LIGHT VEHICLE MECHANIC
BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:
The Artisan Assistant - Light Vehicle Mechanic will be responsible for assisting Light Vehicle Mechanics in servicing and maintaining fleet vehicles.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your key accountabilities include:
- Assisting in vehicle servicing and minor repairs.
- Carrying tools and equipment for mechanics.
- Following safety protocols and guidelines.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the workshop.
- Performing minor mechanical tasks under supervision.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:
- Trade Test B Certificate in Auto Mechanics/ Basic training in mechanical engineering or any relevant qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mechanical support role.
- Experience in mining industry is preferred.
