Mobile Maintenance - Diesel Fitter

Dugald River mine is one of the world’s top 10 Zinc mine operations, which has been producing zinc concentrate for customers around the world since 2017. 

The mine is committed to a low-carbon future. In April 2023 the Dugald River Solar Farm began operations, supplying a third of the mine’s power, and reducing emissions by 33% and this is just the start of its renewable energy transition. 

Dugald River employs around 750 employees and contractors on a mix of fly-in, fly-out and local residential basis.

Mobile Maintenance- Diesel Fitter

We currently have a fantastic career opportunity available for an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our Mobile Maintenance team at Dugald River Mine. 

Reporting to the Supervisor, you will provide maintenance support to the Dugald River Mine operations. 

This role is based on an 8/7, 7/6 (Days & Nights) roster, bus in bus out from Cloncurry or Mount Isa. FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane may be considered for exceptional candidates.

Qualifications, skills & Experience

• Relevant HME Diesel Fitter qualification
• Underground mining equipment maintenance experience is essential
• A current C Class Licence

It would also be beneficial if you have:

• Dogger / Rigger / Forklift / EWP licences
• S1, 2, 3 competency
• Cert 2 tyre maintenance

 Responsibilities include

• To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong work ethic and good safety leadership.
• Planned and breakdown maintenance on HME operating in and underground mining environment.
• Ability to be flexible within the role and adapt to a changing environment.
• Sound knowledge of SAP.
