CONTRACT SPECIALIST

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:

The Contract Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that medium-high value goods and services are procured at the lowest possible cost, meeting business needs, while maintaining compliance with global procedures and ensuring continuous improvement.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developing and implementing plans aligned to project or business objectives, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
• Managing daily activities, monitoring workflows, and ensuring resources are used effectively across teams or functions.
• Enforcing policies, procedures, and legal requirements while ensuring adherence to industry and company standards.
• Supporting budget development, tracking expenditures, and assisting in financial forecasting to maintain fiscal control.
• Identifying potential risks, implementing preventative measures, and monitoring controls for continuous improvement.
• Working across departments or stakeholder groups to drive cooperation, resolving challenges, and streamlining operations.
• Collecting, analysing, and presenting key performance metrics to inform decision-making and evaluate progress.
• Reviewing existing systems and workflows, suggesting improvements, and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and impact.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in legal or commercial, or other relevant discipline.
• 3–5 years’ experience in contract negotiation/admin.
