BAGGING ASSISTANT
BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:
The Bagging Assistant will be responsible for operating the Bagging Plant and other associated equipment ensuring compliance to safety and operational standards.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your key accountabilities include:
- Safely and manually operating the Bagging Plant through the PLC screen (HMI).
- Performing visual checks and inspections while the Bagging Plant is in operation and identifying any defects.
- Ensuring good housekeeping practices are maintained to ensure safe operation.
- Conducting routine equipment inspections to identify conditions or defects that may impact employee safety, environmental compliance, property damage or reliability of equipment and taking necessary steps to mitigate defects.
- Conducting detailed equipment inspections as assigned, documenting deficiencies and generating work requests.
- Performing pre-operational checks and operating Bagging Plant according to standard operating procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:
- Minimum of Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE).
- Experience in working in a Mineral Processing Plant is an added advantage

METALLURGICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

The Metallurgical Laboratory Technician will be responsible for providing reliable laboratory and sampling support to the Metallurgy Section of the Process Plant. The role will be supporting process monitoring, metallurgical test work, plant surveys, sampling, quality assurance and metallurgical accounting by generating accurate, timely and traceable laboratory data to support safe, stable and efficient plant performance.
