About the Role

The SAP ERP Upgrade Delivery Specialist - Solutions plays a critical role in a multi‑vendor project environment, ensuring successful end‑to‑end delivery while also serving as a hands‑on functional expert in one or more of the SAP ERP domains—Finance, Human Capital Management, Logistics, Production Planning, or Enterprise Asset Management and ideally have additionally experienced with SAP integrations leveraging SAP BTP or other platform or SAP BW implementations. This hybrid role blends delivery governance, stakeholder management, and PMO discipline with solution design, configuration oversight, and functional leadership.

This is a 12-month fixed-term role reporting directly to the SAP Program Manager.

 

Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Functional Expertise — Serve as the primary system SME in one of the SAP function domains (FI, HCM, MM, SD, PP, or EAM).
  • Configuration Oversight — Validate functional remediations, and ensure alignment with business processes and best practices where applicable
  • Integration Alignment — Work with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration across SAP modules and external systems.
  • Testing & Deployment — Support SIT, UAT, cutover planning, and hyper-care activities.
  • Stakeholder Management — Build strong relationships with business sponsors, IT leadership, and implementation partners.
  • Vendor Coordination — Manage SI partners, contractors, and offshore teams to ensure aligned delivery outcomes.
  • PMO Governance — Maintain project documentation, RAID logs, and reporting cadence.

 

Required Capabilities

Skills

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with one or more SAP ERP modules, i.e. Finance, HCM, MM, SD, Commodity Management, Production Planning, Enterprise Asset Management
  • Any SAP technical skills in areas such as ABAP, integrations, Workflow, CDS view etc.
  • Efficient PMO delivery, strong documentation, governance, and reporting discipline.
  • Strong facilitation skills for workshops, triage sessions, and readiness reviews.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

 

Knowledge

  • Proficient SAP product/portfolio knowledge.
  • Mining operational knowledge is advantageous.
  • Understanding of financial reporting is preferred.
  • Familiar with solutions architecture framework and practice.

 

Experience

  • SAP ECC and/or S/4 HANA project experience in any international rollouts is necessary.
  • Mining or resources industry experience is preferred.

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM subjects or equivalent.
  • SAP Certificates (optional).
  • Any industry certificates such as PMP, TOGAF, any Azure skills, CFA or CPA etc. (optional).

 

Other

  • Fluent in English with optional proficiency in any language as follows: Spanish, French, Chinese, Portuguese, and Lao.
