We are seeking an experienced Senior Long-Term Planning Engineer based at our Melbourne Head Office to develop strategic mine plans that support the safe, sustainable and profitable future of our operation.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Mine Planning Superintendent, you will lead the development of life-of-mine plans, designs and schedules that support the safe, sustainable and profitable future of Rosebery Mine. Working across technical and operational teams, you will provide strategic advice, evaluate future mining opportunities, identify ways to improve mine value and guide other mining engineers within the team.
About you
You are an experienced underground mining engineer with demonstrated expertise in long-term planning, design and scheduling within a hard-rock, metalliferous underground mining environment. You combine strong technical and commercial understanding with the ability to analyse complex information, influence decisions and work collaboratively across the operation.
You will also bring:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Mining Engineering or a similar discipline
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining Life of Mine / Life of Asset
- plans
- Experience in mine optimisation, scenario modelling and economic evaluation
- Proficiency in relevant mine planning and scheduling software
- Strong problem-solving, communication and technical reporting skills
- A commitment to safe and sustainable mining
- An Australian Mine Manager’s qualification, or progress toward obtaining one, would be highly regarded.
