Underground Maintenance Technician

We currently have a great career opportunity for an experienced Underground Maintenance Technician to join our team at Rosebery in Tasmania. These positions will report into the Supervisor - Mine Maintenance and offered on a 7:7 roster including night shift.

Key Accountabilities

• Conduct activities in line with the weekly maintenance schedules in order to achieve a baseline compliance
• Through the process of conducting maintenance activities, identify opportunities to improve site-wide reliability of mobile and fixed assets
• Support and improve the reliability and availability of mobile and fixed plant assets by participating in programs to identify root cause of failures and the implementation of improvements.
• Assist in the development of requirements and specifications for work plans and schedules.
• Fostering a culture of safe work practices and good housekeeping 

Qualifications & Competencies

• Trade qualified heavy diesel fitter/mechanic
• To be successful, you will have an unwavering commitment to safe work practices, a team player with a strong motivation and passion to be part of our mining family at Rosebery.
• Experience in diagnosing faults and repairing equipment according to OEM specifications 
• Experience in the service and maintenance of AD60 & 55B trucks, R2900 loaders, Sandvik Jumbos and Cable bolter, Atlas Copco Simba and Cable Tec 
• A current driver’s license. 
• Competency working with computers and Microsoft Office.
