VENDOR LIAISON SUPERINTENDENT

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:

To lead, manage, and execute customer/vendors activities to ensure value-for-money customer relationships, compliance with company policies and relevant legislation, while supporting operational efficiency and strategic supplier relationships within the mining environment.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leading end-to-end customer liaison processes including supplier identification, tendering, evaluation, negotiations, and contract finalisation. 
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating high-value and high-risk contracts, service level agreements, and framework agreements in collaboration with legal and technical teams. 
• Developing, implementing, and managing sourcing strategies that align with operational and project requirements. 
• Facilitating contract lifecycle from inception to close-out, including amendments, renewals, and performance management by acting as a liaison person between management and customers. 
• Ensuring a smooth mediation between MMG-Khoemacau and its vendors/Customers to ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, corporate governance, and relevant legislation.
• Facilitating supplier due diligence, onboarding, and performance reviews. 
• Engaging with internal stakeholders (Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal, etc.) to align sourcing plans with business needs. 
• Provide training and guidance to procurement officers and end-users on sourcing best practices. 
• Tracking and reporting on targets achieved against the business model i.e. Cost initiatives and benefits, China sourcing and spending and ensuring that contracts plans are kept up to date. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in English or similar.
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in vendor/customer liaison management, strategic sourcing or procurement, with at least 3 years in a senior or specialist role 3 of which should be in mining industry.

• Proven record in managing complex tendering and contracting processes 

• Experience in negotiating with multinational suppliers and local contractors 

• Exposure to contract disputes and resolution strategies
• Fluent in English and Chinese
