Our group office in Southbank, Melbourne, is seeking an exceptional Principal, Business Improvement. Reporting directly to the Head of Asset Management & Operational Excellence, this key position within our asset group offers an outstanding opportunity to shape our future.

With our demonstrable history of achievement, including the US$5.85 billion acquisition of the Las Bambas operation and the recent US$1.88 billion acquisition of the Khoemacau mine, you'll be part of a company that thinks big and delivers results.

This dynamic, independent role offers the opportunity to collaborate across our entire organisation including both surface and underground mining operations, driving the development and execution of impactful improvement programs. You'll play a key role in adding value, mitigating risk, and enhancing cost efficiencies across our diverse operations. By working with systems, processes, and workflows, you'll act as a catalyst for meaningful change, respectfully challenging the status quo and introducing innovative approaches to how we operate at MMG.

As a trusted specialist advisor, you'll identify, review, and implement key initiatives, while developing and sharing improvement frameworks and support structures that guide and empower our operational leaders and teams.

We are seeking a professional with relevant qualifications and experience, an objective and investigative mindset, well developed engagement skills and a proven track record of delivering continuous improvement.  Applicants with a deep understanding of the interdependencies between various functions of a mining operation and knowledge of operational risk will be viewed favourably.
